Shield: continuous monitoring of your music rights

Analyzing a track once is useful. But infringement doesn't happen the day of the analysis — it happens later. Someone uploads a copy of your song to another distributor under a different name, your composer credits get altered in the catalog, or the title/artist changes without your authorization. Shield is the service that monitors that weekly, automatically and emails you if it happens.

How it works

When you analyze a track with a PAYG credit or with Pro+, your analysis is enrolled in Shield automatically. Nothing to activate, nothing to configure — the shield turns on by itself. You can disable it with one click from the result page if you prefer.

Once enrolled, every 7 days our system:

1. Re-checks the global music catalog for new appearances of the same audio
2. Compares current composer credits against the ones at the time of analysis
3. Verifies if the title or main artist changed on the public catalog
4. If anything changed, emails you the exact detail — what happened, when, and what suggested action you can take

The point isn't that you buy an analysis and leave. The point is that your music still has rights that need defending every week of the year — Shield does that work for you.

What it alerts you about

1. Unauthorized cross-distributor copies

The most common music infringement scenario: someone downloads your track, uploads it to another distributor under a different artist name, and starts monetizing it. Shield detects the new appearance on the global music catalog and alerts you with the exact artist name and distributor where the copy appeared.

2. Changes to your composer credits

Composer credits are the most valuable long-term asset. If a third party alters that information — adding phantom composers, removing you from the list, or changing who the author is — Shield detects it. You receive what changed and in which source, with the detail to report to the corresponding PRO / distributor / DSP.

3. Metadata alteration (title / main artist)

Less common but it happens: someone re-attributes your track to the wrong artist on the public catalog, or the title changes by mistake. Shield compares the current state against the moment of analysis and alerts you if it differs.

What happens when you get the email

The Shield email is short and actionable. It contains:

• What was detected, in clear language (no technical jargon)
• A direct link to your updated analysis on the result page
• Access to download the updated signed certificate — with the new information, ready to send to a distributor, DSP, or rights team if you need to act
• A clear note: if the change is a migration authorized by you (e.g. you legitimately switched distributors), ignore the notice. It's never accusatory — it's information for you to decide

What Shield is NOT

To be honest about scope:

• It's not a lawyer. We detect the change and give you the technical evidence. Legal action is on you (or your team).
• It doesn't do automatic takedowns. We don't contact the infringing distributor on your behalf. The certificate is yours to use for the claim with the evidence.
• It doesn't detect samples or interpolations. Only audio fingerprint matching for identical or near-identical audio (masters, re-encodings, direct uploads of your track).
• It doesn't monitor private platforms. We work with the public music catalog. If someone is using your track on a private Spotify playlist we won't see it.

What Shield does do, it does every week, for every track on your plan, automatically, until you decide to disable it.

Plans with Shield included

• Pro+ ($24/mo): Permanent Shield — every analyzed track stays under weekly monitoring while your subscription is active. Up to 200 tracks under active Shield simultaneously.
• PAYG credits ($5 / 10 analyses): Shield for 60 days from the analysis of each credit-paid track. Up to 10 tracks under Shield at the same time.
• Free / Anonymous: Shield is not available on the free tier.
